Palace Theater - Brian Wilson & The Zombies
Two tickets to see Brian Wilson and the Zombies at The Waterbury Palace Theater.. See legendary songwriter and founding member of The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, and the iconic British psychedelic pop legends, The Zombies on September 27th 2019 at The Palace Theater in Waterbury. Beginning in 1962, with their first album, Surfin’ Safari, the Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys went on to have such major hits as “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” and “Good Vibrations.” Wilson created the critically acclaimed “Pet Sounds” album, which changed the musical landscape. He went on to have a storied solo career. Still recording today, The Zombies include founding members vocalist Colin Blunstone and keyboardist Rod Argent. Their 1960’s hit singles “She’s Not There” and “Tell Her No” preceded their greatest achievement, “Time of the Season,” from their swan-song album Odessey & Oracle, ranked #100 in Rolling Stone’s ‘500 Greatest Albums of All Time.’ To this day, generations of new bands have cited The Zombies’ work as pop touchstones, and the band continues to be embraced by new generations of fans.

An Adventurous Guided Hike and Lunch for Four
Join Flanders new Executive Director Vince LaFontan, and life-long Kent, CT native,  for a 3 hour guided hike (moderate/vigorous) on the Kent section of the Appalachian Trail.  Starting at Mountain View Farm and crossing the Pond Mountain Trust (Nature Conservancy) the expedition will enter the AT on the ascent to Skiff Mountain.  Quickly coming to Caleb’s Peak with outstanding distant views to the south and east, the hike will then approach St. John’s Ledges another dramatic vista to witness.  Finally, the group will descend 90 stone stairs to the Housatonic River Valley and be shuttled back to their starting point by an awaiting transport. To celebrate, the hike will be followed by Lunch for Four at The Fife ‘n Drum Restaurant in Kent.
