"Dancer" Dress Vase
English porcelain, clear glaze vase in the shape of a dress, bisque, then high fired at 2300 degrees. Local ceramicist Diana Chamberlain, trained at St. Martin’s School of Art in London, and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, works in porcelain for its suppleness, delicacy and strength. She believes that porcelain’s willingness to transform makes it a perfect medium for exploring many different conceptual sculptures. With a diverse portfolio, she has come to specialize in creating custom wedding and other dress vases.

8" x 8" oil on canvas.  Noted animal artist Melody Asbury has won numerous awards through the years and her works are included in private collections throughout the United States and abroad.She paints from a studio in her Woodbury home, and also gives workshops, and teaches painting classes at her studio, and other locations, including the Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust’s Van Vleck Studio.A prize-winning artist who has been painting professionally since her teens under the tutelage of her artist mother, Susan Asbury, Melody studied in NYC and Ridgewood Art Institute. A lifelong love of nature led to painting wildlife, along with pet portraits. She is a long-standing member of the art committee at Flanders Nature Center and Land Trust, helping to develop programs combining art and nature.

Hand Crafted Wooden Bowl Made From Maple Burl
This beautiful maple burl bowl is stained with a natural Danish oil and waxed with a fine furniture paste wax.  Not recommended for "wet" foods like dips, but can be used for nuts or crackers, etc.  Can be cleaned with a damp or dry cloth and every now and then wax with a thin amount of paste wax.
