"Flanders House"
“Flanders House,” a watercolor by Cynthia Gillette, was inspired when the artist attended a Flanders Artists Day painting event. What caught her eye was the intimacy of the patio with the Adirondack chairs and sunlight reflecting off the paned windows. The colonial charm of the house as well as the rocks surrounding the view are all favorite subjects of the artist. A previous art director for many years, Cynthia now works on her own designing logos, pamphlets, and drawing heirloom house portraits. She also draws for Woodbury Pewter’s various picture engravings and is an accomplished portrait painter.
